Craft Workshop

Craft Workshop | T. I. Kaxinawá do Rio Jordão
The craft workshop took place in July at Aldeia Boa Vista and was led by master Bunke Huni Kuin with the participation of around twenty women. Beads, looms and cotton threads were made available by APOTI for the workshop, in addition to food during the workshop.
The meeting, which included the “women’s experience”, featured several activities related to the daily lives of women in the village, such as collecting medicinal herbs, harvesting cassava, conversations about care and motherhood, among others. The craft workshop aimed to strengthen the production of arts made in beads (earrings, bracelets and necklaces) and weaving (vests, sashes, bags and scarves) as a way of enabling women to generate income for their families.
The project was supported by the SENAD/MPI notice.
