Indigenous Lands Igarapé do Caucho and Katukina/Kaxinawá

Water Project – Dezoito Praias and Shanenawá

APOTI sucessfully completed the drilling of two artesian wells in this project. The first was in the Dezoito Praias village, in the Igarapé do Caucho Indigenous Land, inhabited by the Huni Kuin people. The second in the Shanenawá village, in the Katukina/Kaxinawá Indigenous Land, inhabited by the Shanenawa people.

The well in the Dezoito Praias village is 22 meters deep, equipped with an industrial filter, a 5,000-liter water tank, a five-meter-high wooden structure and pumping carried out by a 1 HP electric pump.

In the Shanenawá village, the well is 36 meters deep, equipped with a 1 HP solar pump connected to four solar panels that make up 1120W of total power, an industrial filter, a five meter high 5,000 litre water tank fitted on a structure for a five-meter-high water tank and a of water of 5,000 litres.
